Light and lively flavour, very pleasant in summer when drunk young. The nose has an intense bouquet. In the mouth, the wine has few tannins. It has a velvety character, both rounded and smooth.

Domaine des Forges is a historic wine estate situated south of Savennieries in the Val du Layon /Loire Valley that has been in the Branchereau family for five generations. It was founded in 1890 by Pierre Robineau, a grocer and merchant, who bought 2 ha of vineyard called “le Clos des Forges”. The estate now has almost 47 ha of vines, with Chenin Blanc as the main variety.
